Edit
Salad is healthy. This is exactly why it seems to be an unattractive meal for many. As presented in the following recipe, however, the world view of some salad despisers will be neatly mixed up. In combination with the fresh, creamy sauce, the dish is not only an eye-catcher, but almost leads to a small revolution in the raw food world!
For that you need:
- For the cake:
- 8 large lettuce leaves (iceberg lettuce)
- 3 tortillas
- 1/2 cucumber sliced
- 5 hard-boiled eggs in slices
- iceberg lettuce cut into fine strips
- 1 bunch of radishes sliced
- 150 g of cooked ham
- 1 yellow pepper in strips
- 3 vine tomatoes in slices
- Sliced 150 g cheddar cheese
- For the dressing:
- 150 g cream cheese
- 150 g of creme fraiche
- 1 tbsp honey
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 100 ml of milk
- Salt pepper
For the decoration:
chopped parsley
That is how it goes:
1.) Place the springform mold (diameter: 26 cm) on the work surface without soil and arrange the lettuce leaves in a circle so that they completely cover the bottom and edge and overlap each other.
2.) Layer all ingredients on the salad: Start with a tortilla and place the cucumber slices in a circle on top. On top you lay the eggs and another tortilla. Then come successively layers of salad strips, radishes, ham, peppers, tomatoes and lettuce again. Now comes a last tortilla on the cake and finally the cheddar cheese.
Keep everything cold for about 1 1/2 hours.
3.) Now take care of the dressing: For this you liquefy all the ingredients together in a blender.
4.) Now carefully remove the edge of the salad cake and sprinkle some chopped parsley on it. Each piece is garnished with a ladle of sauce.
Of course, as with a sandwich, you can indulge in the hearty cake and make it vegetarian if you wish, using a different kind of bread or thinking up your own dressing for it. Let yourself be inspired when purchasing the ingredients and it will certainly be a treat!
